Education is Fun at Southern Belle Farm

--- Spring Field Trips ---

When school children arrive at the farm for a Spring field trip, they will be divided into groups (or tour by classes). Each group will rotate between these farm activities:

  • Lesson on strawberries
  • Visit to the Strawberry Patch where students will be able to pick a container of strawberries to eat or take home! Note: Teachers & Chaperones may purchase strawberries at an additional charge.
  • Milking demonstration in the dairy barn
  • Take a hayride touring the farm
  • Visit our barnyard farm animals

Spring Field Trip Admission:
Students: $7     Teachers & Aides: Free with school ID
Additional chaperones: $7 each
Siblings (with permission of school): $7

CAUTION: If anyone has allergies to any of the above, we are not liable. Please ensure that these students and adults use care and do not participate.

--- Fall Field Trips ---

When school children arrive at the farm for a Fall field trip, they will be divided into groups (or tour by classes). Each group will rotate between these farm activities:

  • Milking demonstration in the dairy barn
  • Choosing a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch
  • Learning about cotton and picking some as the season permits
  • Taking a hayride touring the farm
  • Walking through the mini-corn maze
  • Visiting the barnyard farm animals

Children may have a picnic at the farm. They will be able to take home a pumpkin. Other seasonal treats include such things as an ice cream cup.
