Education is Fun at Southern Belle Farm
Agriculture is such a vital part of our society, yet so many do not know much about it. Our goal at Southern Belle Farm is to educate students on farming and its importance in an exciting, hands-on way! Our 200-acre outdoor classroom makes learning so much fun!
Basic Field Trip Information

Field Trip Admission:
Students: $8 Teachers & Aides: Free with school ID
Other chaperones/visitors (adult and children): $8 each
Group Minimum Required
Groups are welcome to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a picnic at the farm! We have tables under our covered pavilion and also handwashing/restroom facilities.
CAUTION: If students or other guests have allergies to any farm products or plants/insects that might be on the farm, the farm is not liable. Please ensure that those who may be affected use care or do not participate.

Spring Field Trips
When school children arrive at the farm for a Spring field trip, they will be divided into tour groups by class. Each group will rotate between these farm learning activities:
- Leaning about strawberries
- Visiting the Strawberry Patch to pick a container of strawberries for eating or to take home!
- Milking demonstration in the dairy barn
- Taking a hayride tour of the farm
- Visiting our barnyard farm animals

Fall Field Trips
When school children arrive at the farm for a Fall field trip, they will be divided into tour groups by class. Each group will rotate between these farm leaning activities:
- Milking demonstration in the dairy barn
- Choosing a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch
- Learning about cotton and picking -- as the season permits
- Taking a hayride tour of the farm
- Walking through the mini-corn maze
- Visiting the barnyard farm animals
Students may take home a pumpkin. Other seasonal treats include such things as an ice cream cup.
